TREKKING

Do you want to know our routes?

01. Circular route to the Barranco de Los Tilos ravine.

Approximate duration: 3 hours | Difficulty: Moderate | Distance: 7 km

This route starts at the entrance to the estate, taking the path that descends gently through the eucalyptus and laurel forests. As you go along, you will enjoy the natural richness of the surroundings, with birdsong and the murmur of the water.

After about 1.5 km, the path comes to a fork in the road. Take the turn-off to the Barranco de Los Tilos ravine, following the natural signs (you can recognise them by the red and white markings painted on the stones). Here, the path narrows and descends, offering spectacular views of the laurel forest.

Halfway along the route, you will find a small clearing ideal for resting, taking photos or simply enjoying the silence. Continue along the path until you reach the bottom of the ravine, where a crystal-clear stream and the shade of the lime trees invite you to stop.

The return path ascends along a wider and sunnier path, passing by old terraces and dry stone walls, which speak of the agricultural history of the area. The route ends back at the farm, where you can recharge your batteries and relax.

Practical tips:

  • Bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water.
  • Wear sun protection and a hat, especially on sunny days.
  • Pay attention to the trail signs and respect the environment.
  • Do not leave rubbish and take everything you bring with you.

Approximate duration: 2.5–3 hours | Difficulty: Moderate | Distance: 6.5 km

This scenic hike begins at the entrance of the finca, heading north along a gently ascending trail lined with fruit trees and aromatic plants. As you walk, you’ll pass through traditional Canarian landscapes, with old stone walls, terraced fields and expansive views of the surrounding hills.

Halfway along the route, the path enters a cooler, shaded area with stretches of laurisilva forest, offering the perfect opportunity for a break and a breath of fresh, moist air. As you approach Fontanales, the trail opens to views of small farms and grazing animals — a glimpse into rural life in northern Gran Canaria.

Once in the village, you can stop for a coffee, explore the local square, or visit a traditional market (depending on the day). The return follows the same path or, optionally, a slightly longer loop for those wanting to extend the experience.

Practical tips:

  • Bring comfortable shoes and a light jacket — it can be cooler in Fontanales.
  • Take some cash in case you want to enjoy a local café or purchase produce.
  • Check market days if you’d like to coincide your visit with local events.

Approximate duration: 2 hours | Difficulty: Easy–moderate | Distance: 4 km

This trail is perfect for guests who want a shorter walk without missing out on the landscape’s grandeur. Starting directly from the finca, the path climbs gently to a ridge that offers panoramic views of the Barranco del Laurel — one of the most emblematic natural areas in the region.

Along the way, you’ll pass clusters of native vegetation, dry stone walls, and old agricultural plots. The light changes constantly as clouds drift across the hills, making each step a visual delight for photography and nature lovers alike.

At the highest point, you’ll be able to see the deep ravine below, the tops of the eucalyptus forest, and on clear days, even a glimpse of the ocean in the distance. The descent is gentle and loops back to the finca.

Practical tips:

  • Ideal for early morning or sunset walks for the best light.
  • Wear closed shoes with good grip, especially in dry seasons.
  • Bring your camera — the views are worth it.

RELAXATION

What can we offer you?

Note: These are self-guided moments. When the team is working, you may join simple tasks (e.g., gardening, occasional jam prep) only alongside the team. This is real life, not a workshop.

01. Sunrise Yoga

(Self-guided or with a local instructor, when available)

Start your day with an outdoor yoga session surrounded by birdsong and the fresh morning breeze. This early practice helps you stretch, release tension and prepare for a day in full connection with nature.

Led by experienced instructors (or self-guided if preferred), the session takes place in a quiet area of the finca, with open views of the ravine and sky — the perfect setting to find balance and clarity.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, sunrise yoga is a chance to breathe, move and let go of stress, allowing the energy of the land to revitalise you.

Let yourself be embraced by the silence and scents of our eucalyptus grove. Forest bathing — inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku — invites you to slow down, walk without rushing, and observe with all your senses.

Feel the texture of the bark, breathe in the aromatic air, and listen to the natural rhythm of the forest. It’s not a hike, but a quiet immersion in nature that resets your nervous system and clears your mind.

(When available)
At the end of the day, join us for a guided meditation session as the light softens and the finca falls into silence. Seated comfortably on a terrace or mat, you’ll be gently led through breathwork and visualisation to help you unwind and reconnect.

It’s a beautiful way to release the day, especially when the horizon turns golden and the first stars begin to appear.

When night falls, the finca offers a sky free from light pollution — perfect for watching the stars. Wrapped in a blanket or lying on a mat, observe constellations, satellites or simply enjoy the stillness of the night.

On clear evenings, the Milky Way stretches across the sky like a silent river of light. A magical experience for dreamers, photographers or anyone seeking wonder in the quiet of the countryside.

NATURE

Living nature in every corner.

01. Welcome fruit & jam moments (with the team)

Enjoy seasonal fruit from the finca as part of your welcome. On some days, when the team is working, you’re welcome to observe or lend a hand in a few simple steps of our traditional jam-making — always alongside us.

Important: this is not a workshop, and there is no self-service fruit picking.

There’s a special joy in eating food that grows a few steps away. When available, we share fresh, organic produce from the finca (e.g., eggs, seasonal fruit, family-made jams) so you can start the day slowly and appreciatively — on your terrace or at a shared table beneath the trees.

You can enjoy it outdoors — perhaps on your terrace, or at a shared table beneath the trees — with morning light, crisp air, and nothing but the sounds of nature around you.

It’s more than just breakfast. It’s a way to start the day slowly, appreciatively, and in harmony with your surroundings.

*Note: This is not a restaurant service and is subject to availability.*

Scattered throughout the finca, among fruit trees and wild herbs, you’ll find simple wooden swings hanging from strong branches or wooden structures. These small surprises are there to be enjoyed at any time of day — whether in silence, with a book, or laughing with someone you love.

Swinging gently while overlooking the valley or gazing up at the treetops brings back the kind of childhood joy we often forget. No phone, no noise — just gravity, air, and a few moments of lightness.

For adults and children alike, the swings offer more than play — they’re a reminder to pause, smile, and enjoy the present.

A living space for planting and gardening. Here we nurture seasonal produce and aromatic herbs that will support a future KM0 shop — small-scale, conscious and local.

Good to know.
